Biking

Beginner and intermediate riders will find Kimberley an ideal location thanks to an extensive trail network through the Kimberley Nature Park and Lois Creek trail system that offers a wide-ranging selection of mountain-biking opportunities. Many of the over 100-km (62 mi) of trails run through or around the resort, and all trails are clearly marked. A map is available from the Kimberley's Visitor Centre and from various retailers in the community. Those seeking a challenge will find it on the mountain itself, with steeper tracks with 610 m (2,000 ft) of vertical thrills. Scream down Sullivan, at 5 km (3.1 mi) the park's longest run. Kimberley's bike park is one of the newest in BC, and one where lineups are still rare.

Tips For The Trail

• When riding free ride/downhill trails in the region, please respect all signs and the trails themselves.

• Avoid skidding tires or riding off the trail  during extremely wet conditions.

• Don’t forget to pack out everything you bring in DO NOT LEAVE GARBAGE and be mindful of other trail users.

• Be sure to carry spare tubes, tools and a first aid kit.

• Many riders with big bikes will enjoy many of the shorter cross-country trails in the region.

• Check with local bike shops or cycling clubs to find the rides that are right for you.
